In the summer of 2016, after blowing both knees, Rosie underwent bilateral TPLO surgery (MedVet – Karl Maritato,DVM, DACVSSA). She recovered quickly and life went on.

As time progressed, she would complain a bit after walking. We would treat with Tramadol initially (two to three days) accompanied with rest for 10-14 days. Throughout this time and pre-dating her surgery, feeding was supplemented with glucosamine/chondroitin and turmeric.

Eventually, we recognized that the pain was originating from the front legs. I learned from her vet (Joe D’Amico,DVM) that this is a positional adjustment associated with the hind leg surgeries. To compensate for the modification in the hind legs, Rosie was now lifting up (from rest and squatting,) bearing a greater percentage of her weight on the front legs. Makes sense, right? For the past few months I had been limiting the distance on her walks.

We started NatrixOne on August 1, 2019 to coincide with a time when I would be able to dedicate more time to Rosie’s walk program. We began with mile walks on 8/2 and continued to increase distance every day, returning to a 2 mile walk by 8/7. The results are stunning.  There has not been one single complaint (yelp) following exercise since starting NatrixOne.  This ‘Liquid Gold’ has changed life for both of us.  I have my energetic, engaged, paw stomping, run-into-her-walking-collar girl back. If I hadn’t experienced this behavior change myself I’m not sure I would believe it. Thank you so much! ~Susan
