Dogs will love playing outside this winter, but it’s important to take precautions to keep them safe.

How Cold is Too Cold for Dogs?

Most dogs are tolerant of temperatures as low as 40-45 degrees Fahrenheit, with the exception of arctic breeds. When heading into the elements, be sure to limit your dog’s playtime in the ice or snow to 30 minutes.

Consuming snow in small quantities is generally safe for dogs. Snow that has been exposed to harmful chemicals, waste, or dirt should be avoided. Rock salt that is used to deter ice buildup on streets and sidewalks is harmful to dogs. Add a touch of natural Vermont maple syrup for sweetness in every bite! Combine oil from the pumpkin along with water into one bowl; then add flour baking soda powder as well as NatrixOne — you’ll be able to Pumpkin Spice Ball Latte before long if this simple recipe is anything like what we had at our homes when growing up. Mix until ingredients come together forming dough just stiff enough so it can still hold shape but soft enough not to break apart after rolling balls between hands. Voila! Bone Appetite

INGREDIENTS

– 1/2 cup canned pumpkin

– 4 tbsp maple syrup

– 4 tbsp water

– 2 tbsp NatrixOne Camelina Oil

– 2 cups flour 

– ¼ tsp baking soda

– ¼ tsp baking powder

– 1 tsp cinnamon

DIRECTIONS

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  2. Mix pumpkin, maple syrup, NatrixOne Camelina oil, and water together in a bowl
  3. Add the flour, baking soda, baking powder and cinnamon to the mixture and stir until dough softens
  4. Scoop out small spoonfuls of dough and roll into balls on your hands
  5. Set the balls onto a lightly greased cookie sheet
  6. Bake approximately 25 minutes until dough is hardened
  7. Enjoy!

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425 F
  2. Wash and peel the sweet potato
  3. Cut the sweet potato into evenly sized long skinny (fry shaped) pieces
  4. Coat with oil and spices – Mix in a large bowl
  5. Place fries on baking sheet in one layer
  6. Bake for 15 minutes
  7. Flip over fries for even baking
